SMART FARMING INNOVATION BROKERS

LAG Međimurski doli i bregi is one of the partners on the project Smart Farming Innovation Brokers, funded by the ERASMUS+ program; Key Activity KA2: Vocational Education and Training.

The project is worth EUR 446,842.00 and began with implementation on 1 September 2018. Project duration is 36 months, until August 31, 2021.

The leading partner of the project is the Union of Agricultural Producers of Italy (CIA) from Padua, and the other partners are the University of Padua, LAG Međimurski doli i bregi, ACT Group from Čakovec, Biosense Institute from Novi Sad, the Agricultural and Forestry Chamber of Slovenia (KGZS) from Murska Sobota, Innovation Technology Cluster (ITC) from Murska Sobota and Austrian Chamber of Agriculture (LKÖ) from Vienna.

Minding the gap between current farming industry digitization trends and the digital and smart technology era, the project wants to open a way to a new innovation oriented training method in the farming industry by combining the “Innovation Broker” approach with the current efforts put in place by the EU in the field of “Digital Innovation Hubs”. The aim of the project is to reduce the gap between current digitalization trends of agricultural production and digital and smart technologies, to modernize the production and to increase farmers’ profits.
