Prema popisu stanovni\u0161ta iz 2011. godine ima 3.176 stanovnika; od toga 2.280 Belica, te 896 Gardinovec. Povr\u0161ina op\u0107ine je 2.766 hektara.<\/p>\n

Teritorij Op\u0107ine Belica nalazi se na spoju dviju morfolo\u0161kih cjelina \u2013 Gornjeg i Donjeg Me\u0111imurja. Na prostoru op\u0107ine prevladava kontinentalna klima.<\/p>\n

Kroz povijest su naselja Belica i Gardinovec bila dijelovi \u010cakove\u010dkog vlastelinstva, ali i niza manjih feudalnih gospodara. Op\u0107ina Belica ustrojena je 1993. godine. Prvi zadru\u017eni dom u \u010dakove\u010dkom kotaru sagra\u0111en je upravo u Belici 1948 godine.<\/p>\n

Belica je odmah nakon II. svjetskog rata postala poznata po proizvodnji krumpira, a ostala je i dan danas pa je u naselju podignut prvi spomenik \u201ekalamperu\u201c u svijetu.[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.4.8″ custom_padding=”30px||30px||false|false”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.4.8″][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.4.8″]<\/p>\n
